3 ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: MCPA 500 g/L as a low volatile ester.

4 CHEMICAL GROUP: I.

MCPA iso-octyl ester - vapour pressure - 3.8 x 10-3 pa = 2.85 x 10-5 mm Hg
3.Formulation : Low Volatile Ester (Emulsifiable Concentrate)
4.Poison Schedule : 5
5.Trade name : L.V.E. MCPA - Nufarm
6.Product Colour :
7.Product Flammability : Flammable
8.Dangerous Goods Class :
9.Shelf Life : Minimum 4 years
(When stored under ideal conditions- refer page 4)
10.Mixtures Compatibility :
Ally (metsulfuron-methyl) glyphosate (450 g/L active)

Banvel 200 (dicamba) Achieve (tralkoxydim)

bromoxynil (eg Brominil, Bromicide 200) Hoegrass/Nugrass (diclofop-methyl)

diuron (Nufarm Flowable) Puma (fenoxaprop-ethyl)

Glean (chlorsulfuron) Terbutryn (Nufarm)
11.Registered Crop(s) : Wheat, Barley, Oats, Triticale, Cereal Rye, Grass pastures and Grass seed crops.
12.Effect of Soil Texture on Herbicide : Not applicable, readily leached from soil.
13.Effect of Soil pH on Herbicide :
14.Effect of Soil Organic Matter on Herbicide :
15.Mode of Action : Foliar translocation, some root absorption, little contact, Post-emergent.
16.Application Timing : Low rate when crop is at 3-5 leaf stage, higher rates from 5 leaf to commencement of flag leaf stage.
17.Rate Variations : Oats, barley, triticale and cereal rye: 500 mL to 1.6 L/ha; Wheat, grass pastures, & grass seed crops: 500 mL - 2.1 L/ha
18.Rates Selection : Lower rate crop 3 - 5 leaf stage. Higher rate later than 5 leaf stage.
20.Effect on Crop : Damage may occur when crop is sprayed outside recommended application timing.
21.Effect on Legumes : Damage trials carried out by Nufarm show that high rates of 1.8 L/ha are quite damaging. Low rates of 600 mL/ha are safer on most clovers but still cause unacceptable damage to white clover cv Haifa and Persian clover cv Maral. When used in conjunction with spray-grazing can be quite useful. Medic and lucerne are less tolerant.
22.Soil Moisture at Application :
DRY - May get crop damage and/or poor weed control.

MOIST - Ideal.

WATERLOGGED - May get crop damage and/or poor weed control.
23.Frost Effects : Herbicide uptake by weeds may be reduced.
25.Effect of Application Water Quality on Herbicide :
Saline Water - Little or none.

Soil Colloids - Little or none.
26.Recommended Water Volume : Minimum 80 L/ha boom, 30 L/ha aircraft.
27.Nozzle Type : Fan or Tee-jet nozzles at 80o or 100o, SS 11001, SS 11002. Best results with fine droplets.
28.Recommended Nozzle Pressure : 200 - 300 kPa (28.6 - 43.5 psi)
30.Recommended Wetter : Activator 90 (125 ml/100 L).
31.Other Additives : No, as may cause crop damage.
32.Rain Fastness : 6 hours rain-free post-spraying.
33.Time Interval Before Effect is Noticed : Wilting is observed within 24 hours.
35.Effect of Herbicide/Disease Interaction on Crop :
36.Withholding Period : Do not graze or cut for stock food for 7 days after application.
38.Spray Tank Clean-Up : Wash with detergent and triple rinse with clean water.
39.Other Comments : There is some antagonism between Nugrass or Hoegrass and L.V.E. MCPA so it is important to keep to label recommendations for rates. Nufarm recommends that when mixing with Nugrass or Hoegrass add Activator 90 (150 ml/100 L spray solution) and do not exceed 700 mL of L.V.E. MCPA per hectare. Low volatile esters are more effective on hard-to-control weeds than salt formulations.
