Wheat and Triticale are more tolerant than Barley and Durum Wheat. Oats are sensitive to soil residues.

Chickpea, Faba Bean and Field Pea can be planted where interim rainfall is less than 50 mm or where replanting is required after crop failure.

Ensure adequate zinc nutrition where herbicide residues are likely to be present.

20 MODE OF ACTION:

Knockdown and residual action.

Inhibits acetohydroxyacid synthase and acetolactate synthase which blocks the formation of three amino acids - isoleucine, leucine and valine. This disrupts protein and DNA synthesis and consequently cell growth.

Uptake and translocation:

Absorbed through shoots and roots, transported in xylem and phloem to the growing tips. The growing tips die soon after application but plant death may not be apparent for some weeks.

12. Effect of Soil Texture on Herbicide : As organic matter and clay content increases the proportion of OnDuty absorbed to the soil increases.

13. Effect of Soil pH on Herbicide : Acid soils tend to increase to absorption of OnDuty, so persistence in acid soils may be prolonged. Not recommended on soils with pH less than 5 or greater than 8.5.

14. Effect of Soil Organic Matter on Herbicide : As organic matter and clay content increases the proportion of OnDuty absorbed to the soil increases.

15. Mode of Action : Root and shoot absorbed, translocated. Acetolactate synthase inhibitor and inhibits the production of several essential amino acids.

20. Effect on Crop : Usually good crop selectivity. Short term crop effects can be seen where environmental or nutritional stress affect the crop. This product may cause transient yellowing and slight shortening plant internodes but plants soon recover and yield is unaffected. This effect may be more pronounced where it is used post emergence or under poor growth conditions.

IT Canola has greater tolerance than current IT wheats. Future IT wheats will have a second gene conferring greater tolerance.

22. Soil Moisture at Application : Moisture content is the most important factor influencing absorption of OnDuty. As soil begins to dry, the amount of OnDuty in soil solution will decrease, thereby making it unavailable to the plant for uptake.

The first sign of activity is purple discolouration or a chlorosis of the youngest leaves, leading to necrotic growing points and stunted growth or death.   1. Spray Tank Clean-Up : Drain tank and flush with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Use ammonia solution or washing soda for decontamination. Fill the tank with clean water and remove the nozzles and screens and clean separately.
